Rescuing Persecuted Christian Families From Kiln Slavery In Pakistan

 Rescue from slavery

In Pakistan, thousands of Christian families were enslaved in the harsh reality of kiln slavery. Under the control of a merciless kiln owner and his ruthless manager, their days were filled with grueling labor, constant intimidation, and fear. Their only crime is that they are poor and are Christians; their only fault was being both Christian and poor. For this, they endured unimaginable cruelty.

Each day, these Christian families endured relentless physical torture. The hands that shaped the bricks were swollen and bruised from the beatings inflicted by the kiln owner, who treated them as nothing more than tools.

Story of Roshan:

One such story is Roshan Masih, a father of four, who shared how he and his wife, Rani Bibi, tried to escape the kiln a year ago. The kiln owner had cast a sinister eye on Rani Bibi, adding to their suffering.

He added that we were caught as we escaped. Thereafter we were beaten, and even the kiln owner raped my wife the whole night; we faced torture. This did not end there, and then. The kiln owner made me arrested for an attempt to kill him. This was done so that I may not try to run again.

When Our Organization heard the story of Roshan and Rani through our pastor, we planned to rescue the Persecuted Christian family from the clutches of the ruthless owner.  And thank God we could rescue them along with the other six families.

Torture And Abuse:

These families faced constant mental abuse. They were insulted every day, which slowly broke their spirits. Women and girls suffered even more. Along with the hard physical work, they were harassed, humiliated, and sexually exploited by the men in power. Alongside the exhausting physical labor, they endured constant harassment, humiliation, and sexual exploitation from the men who controlled their lives.

Story of John Masih:

John Masih had long dreamed of a life beyond the brick kiln’s oppressive walls. His calloused hands told a story of endless toil, while his eyes reflected a spirit that refused to be broken. Alongside his wife, Tabassum, and their three children, John had endured years of backbreaking labor, beatings, and the heart-wrenching reality of watching his children grow up without education or hope.

The kiln’s oppressive atmosphere heavily on them, but the children’s lost futures haunted John the most. John’s elder son, Joseph Masih, who is 11 years old, lost his leg due to torture by the Kiln manager; while telling us the story, both husband and wife cry with tears. He further added if they could let us go to the hospital, my son’s leg could be saved.

However, God heard their cries and sent our team to rescue them. Thank God John and his family were among the six rescued families.
