The Journey of Resilience: Parveen’s Story of Hope and Liberation

 Parveen Yaqoob

Parveen’s story shines as a Ray of hope and resilience in a world where many children face unimaginable hardships. At just 13 years old, she endured the harsh realities of life in a brick kiln, a place that symbolized Modern Day Slavery.

Life in the Brick Kiln:

Parveen, the daughter of Yaqoob, grew up in a challenging environment alongside her three siblings. The brick kiln, where they worked tirelessly, was a place of forced labor and hardship. The manager’s strict demeanor created an atmosphere of fear and oppression, making daily life a struggle for the workers, including Parveen and her family.

One fateful day, the kiln manager approached Parveen’s mother with a troubling request. He insisted that Parveen come to his home to assist his ailing wife with household work. Reluctantly, her mother agreed, hoping that this arrangement might provide some relief for the family. However, what followed was a harrowing experience that would change Parveen’s life forever.

Her Story:

The Unthinkable:

After two months of working in the manager’s household, Parveen faced a nightmare. One day, while the family was away at a wedding, the manager’s son took advantage of her vulnerability. What began as a simple request for assistance quickly escalated into a horrifying act of violence. Parveen found herself trapped in a situation where her pleas for help went unheard, and her suffering continued for months. The elder Son of the Kiln Manager, Sajid Ali, not only raped her for months but also threatened her with theft if he opened her mouth.

Finding a Voice: Our Action

Despite the trauma she endured, Parveen’s spirit remained unbroken. During this dark time, one of our associates, who is a pastor, visited her home and found out about all that happened to the 13-year-old girl. After listening to her story our pastor requested us to help these persecuted families in the Kiln who are facing sexual exploration in the kiln.

We immediately planned to rescue all the Christian families in that kiln; there were 18 Christian and two Muslim families who were facing sexual harassment from the Kiln administration. We not only rescue them but also arrange houses, food, and new jobs for these families. We have also arranged the medical and psychologist for the girls and women who went through sexual harassment.

We request you all to join us in the greater Rescue Mission to liberate our brothers and sisters who are trapped in the cycle of Slavery and Persecution.
