Christian Girls Abducted in Pakistan: ECSPE Rescues Faisalabad Victim

The growing number of cases involving Christian girls abducted in Pakistan continues to raise serious human rights concerns. In Faisalabad, 18-year-old Adan Sabir was reportedly abducted at gunpoint from her aunt’s home on July 3, 2025. Her family immediately filed a police complaint and sought help from the Emergency Committee to Save the Persecuted and Enslaved (ECSPE).

According to reports, ECSPE worked closely with local authorities and human rights advocates to help secure her rescue. The case highlights the dangers faced by religious minority girls in Pakistan, especially Christians and Hindus, who are often targeted for abduction, forced conversion, and forced marriage.

Key concerns raised by activists include:

  • Weak enforcement of child protection laws
  • False marriage and conversion documents
  • Pressure on families to stay silent
  • Delays in justice for victims

ECSPE continues to support persecuted minority families and advocate for stronger protections for vulnerable girls in Pakistan.
